Below is my timeline for PR Card :

Landed : 10-Aug-2017
Photo Req : 27-Sep-2017
Photos Sent : 30-Sep-2017
Photos Received at CPO, Sydney : 05-Oct-2017

No update since then. Anyone on this forum in the same boat? I tried calling them yesterday but did not connect even after waiting on line for 40 mins. Does anyone know the current status of the processing?
If you go back a couple of pages, you will see that CIC is currently processing photos submitted around August 12th. Based on the threads, it looks like it takes approximately 2 months afters photos recieved for the status to chance to Approved, if the photos are good.

My wife’s photos were requested 21st Sept and sent on the the very next day. No updates yet as well. I saw in a previous post that someone’s photos were sent Aug. 14th and got his application approved oct 12 ,,, I think it takes 2 months period from the day you sent

Oh..Thats bad. So the total time taken for the PR card to be delivered is more than 4 months then? The processing times listed on the CIC website does not make any sense now. I was of the impression that they stick to the timeline of 61 days even when they request for new photos.

I was actually planning to sponsor my spouse once I receive my PR Card. But I think I have to submit the application right away with an LOE and a copy of my CoPR.

Yeah looks like unfortunately the case. The 61 days is only if everything is perfectly fine with them. Know this is tough and hard to understand. That's why this whole process requires lots of patience.

Think you should do it asap as the COPR is already proof you are a PR...the PR card is more so for traveling in and out of the country. Good luck

Hi everyone, I'm trying to link my PR card application to my cic account but it says it couldn't be found. How long does it take until the application comes up? Should I contact them or is this normal? Thank you!

Hi there,

This is a very hit and miss thing. Most people here had to do it in several attempts. I managed to get mine done in the first after maybe a week plus post landing.

Did you try using the UCI and name as stated exactly in your COPR?

Hi, your post made me confused - what do you mean by 'status to change to approved'? after COPR what else remains to be changed in status? nothing per my understanding (correct me if I am mistaken). my COPR got approved, I received stamped passport back, landed and gave address for PR card. Now I am expecting the PR card, but what 'status changed to approve' are you talking about?

You can link your PR card application to your CIC account, so you could see the status. So aside from your Permanent Residence Application (which is already approved), once you linked your PR card application to your CIC account, you'll see another field which is the PR card application. That's the one status will changed from "Submitted" to "Approved", roughly 2 mos from the time they received the photos (if they asked your to resend). On how to link your PR card Application to your CIC account, there is guide somewhere on this thread on how to do it.

Happy to hear you received your PR card. Your's quite ideal, as they never ask you to resend photos again.

I just resend my photo Sep 14. Where do you normally see the date they received it? I have linked my PR application to my CIC account, but there was no message there. Was the receipt of the photo notification sent through email only? As on my CIC account, it was my immigration consultant email that was put in there. So perhaps they are the one who received the notification email that the photos were received.
