If you have enough buffer, should not be a problem if you miss an entry or two.Hi -

I don't think there is an exception for the days you need to be physically in canada. What if you are having less days than 1095 and you moved because of medical reasons to deliver baby. Will application be accepted? I am lacking 90 days
We have the same issue. We used to live 30 min from the border and hubby drove frequently across for gas and for shopping across.Hi -

There are no exceptions to the physical presence requirement. You must wait 90 days. What if you are having less days than 1095 and you moved because of medical reasons to deliver baby. Will application be accepted? I am lacking 90 days

If, like me, you're that close/convenient to the US border, then if I were you at this stage I'd just nip down to the nearest US police station and pay them the approximately $10- fee for having them take your fingerprints, then nip to the nearest US post office get a USPS postal money-order for the FBI's $18- fee. If you can then sit down at the local library & fill-in the FBI form then you can nip back to the US post office to mail the whole thing in with tracking for delivery to the FBI in West Virginia. The FBI thing takes thirteen weeks currently. Mine was mailed-out to me yesterday, they told me over the phone this morning when I called to inquire. We have the same issue. We used to live 30 min from the border and hubby drove frequently across for gas and for shopping across.
He cannot apply via the website (he finally tried yesterday) and will need to go to a crossing to apply in person...
And we are not sure if those 1 hr trips will count towards days spent in another country... If so, he will need to get FBI police certificate...
And ideally have at least a few weeks of 'buffer' time up one's sleeve as well, right? From the FAQ of the physical presence calculator:
Q8: I travel often to the United States and don't remember the exact dates. What do I do?
A8: To use the physical presence calculator, you must enter exact dates. Check your passport and other records like: banking records, travel itineraries and receipts to help you determine your dates of travel.
Of course. And ideally have at least a few weeks of 'buffer' time up one's sleeve as well, right?
It's still going to take 13 weeks or so....If, like me, you're that close/convenient to the US border, then if I were you at this stage I'd just nip down to the nearest US police station and pay them the approximately $10- fee for having them take your fingerprints, then nip to the nearest US post office get a USPS postal money-order for the FBI's $18- fee. That's what I did. I took a day off to go get this FBI thing off to them back in mid-July so that I could feel I was making some kind of progress while continuing to wait for CIC/IRCC to announce their effective date for C-6 in the Fall. It's still going to take 13 weeks or so....
We may as well wait. We moved 2 years ago and no more quick border crossing trip.
We usually cross after hours so to make a trip to post office, library and police station, he will need to take a day off.
