Hey,

From what I seen and read in this forum, medical request comes from Sydney, not Ottawa. They didn't ask me for updated Schedule A but some people they get asked. After the MR, the next step is the background check. It will change to in process. That is also from Sydney. From what I read (so I'm not very sure), if there is no red flags on you file, the decision will be made in Sydney instead of Ottawa. After that, Ottawa will send you PPR. Hopefully this helps you with the timeframe of your application.

May 26 applicant. Called CIC again today (called last week as well). I was told that the security part of my background is in progress. Criminality is passed. Mycic shows BG as NA.

No I haven’t, why do you ask? My progress seems to be up to date with ppl who applied around the same times as me so I never really thought I needed to call them.

Hi PNPCanada05, Can you provide details on what additional document you received in July and how soon after you submitted received MR? I was requested updated Sch A info with specific dates 2 weeks ago. Were you asked for this info before your MR month later? Any response would be helpful.

I called CIC earlier, 30 minutes waiting of course, but eventually someone picked up. So the agent told me that my upload was successfully received (I was doing paper based application but switched to online submission thistime so wasn't sure if i have done this correctly), and she also told me that it''s totally fine that the review of eligibility switched back to reviewing but it just normal procedure and the review has passed already.

Although my cic login or the erca? both show that my back ground check is still in process, but she told me that my bg was passed and just waiting for final decision. According to her, the cic login or the erca were really back logged, so i don't know how soon will they update these. Just a bit follow up for my situation just in case someone has same scenario.

I added my wife to my application in Feb 2017. Additional document request in June and Medical was asked on 20th July. Since Aug 1 my status is in BG check. Hope to get PPR soon.

NO I was not asked to submit schedule A again. My additional documents were about details about our marriage.

Hi ceciccg, thanks so much for your quick response and first of all, hearty congratulations on becoming a Canadian PR. Could you tell whether the Medical request comes from Ottawa facility or CIO sends it and sample for the same? Just 2 weeks back I received letter from BF Registry at CIO asking for updated Schedule A form (not the generic letter but one from an agent calling out specific gaps in form). I sent it the same day and now my background check shows Not applicable. I learnt from others on this forum that the next stage would be medical request however, not sure if that would come from CIO or Ottawa and what to expect next. Any insight from your experience will be much appreciated.

I had got req for schedule A as well and sent it to cic in January via my email and got medical req in june.. I am a june 2016 applicant
