During eligibility period did you have temporary resident?
WHAT IS THIS FOR ?

I APPLIED FOR H&C AND I WAS GIVEN WORK PERMIT IN THAT PERIOD. IN THE WORK PERMIT DOCUMENT IT SAYS THIS DOES NOT CONFIRM TEMPORARY RESIDENT STATUS?
SHOULD I TICK0 " NO"?
Also in Q17. I am not a resident of Quebec should i TICK 'NO' OR JUST LEAVE IT BLANK

You should tick yes. The application for work permit is saying that just because you apply, it doesn't mean you have status as a temporary worker. The Work permit once issued, gives this status.

Yes it does. You're a temporary resident when you have a study permit or work permit.

From the Regulations

Temporary resident status
202 A foreign national who is issued a work permit under section 206 or paragraph 207(c) or (d) does not, by reason only of being issued a work permit, become a temporary resident.

It says Application, that means filling out the application and sending it in doesn't grant you status. Just like I said earlier.

1. It sounds like it was issued when you were a refugee claimant, if so, then no you can't use that period for Citizenship.

Yes my refuge claimed was refused and I got the permanent residency through spouse sponsorship. I remembered when I apply for spouse sponsorship, in the application there’s option to apply for work permit but I didn’t apply because I had valid one. My question is if I applied for work permit along with sponsorship application, is the work permit will be considered temporary resident status?

1. It sounds like it was issued when you were a refugee claimant, if so, then no you can't use that period for Citizenship.

If a Refugee Claimant has an Open WP and it says, "does not confer temporary resident status"- Can he apply for a LMIA - based work permit or any PNP programs with Job offer ? I searched all over- no one has clearly gives an answer to this.
