Updated means they opened your file! It's a good thing! What's your AOR? and what does your BGC status say?

Worried, because my friend and I applied 2 weeks apart and he has already got his PR and waiting for his pr card.
PPR in a couple of days for you! Probably next week! Keep us posted. (P.S it's normal for the "updated" to change back to "submitted" once you already opened it)

Its come to a stage where i am opening cic everyday looking. Tired of it :/
More worried because i kind of messed up my application with the points. i thought i had more points then i actually did and then i had to change it and letter a letter of explanation but even then i had more points than the lowest person that was invited which was 423 but i had 424.
I'm CEC Inland, AOR May 30. My BG got updated after months, to the same status as yours just last Tuesday. Hopefully, this will be the last stage and we'll hear back from CIC with our PPR very soon. Stay optimistic!

When you log into cic, and you see all your applications. The one next to the PR application it says details, which was always on submitted but few days ago i logged in and said updated. And then 10 mins later changed back to submitted. And ever since then its been on submitted.

Mines always been on that status. But on the main page of cic when you log in changed from submitted to updated and then back to submitted.
Oh okay. Mine changed from "Your app is IP, We'll send u msg when we start your BG" to "We're processing your BG, We'll send u msg if we need more info."
Maybe yours changed from In Progress to NA to IP in hours but with the same wordings so you didn't observe any change. I heard CIC uses various wordings for each account.
Regardless, just keep in mind that there are still quite a few other May applicants in progress so it's not like we are left out & forgotten. And any update message is an indication that they are working on our files. No need to panic yet
If you feel too worried, you can call them or order GCMS notes but I'd rather wait.

That is a possibility!! Maybe i just didn't notice the wordings because they are similar. But to be fair i can ever remember it saying Will will send a message when we start your bg check etc. So maybe it could have been that.
Yes, i think this could be because you not logged into it at the time of the update. I think i just logged in at the right time and seen it and then within 10 mins it changed back to submitted. Ive been logging in more or less everyday hoping to see change
