Congratulations on the incoming bundle of joy!

1. It is always recommended to provide more proof of funds than you need, if you are able to do so (after all, you never know what could happen with regard to currency exchange rate fluctuations, or if IRCC might deem one of your source of funds not valid). However, if you can't show the amount for 5 people now, IRCC won't require this proof until the baby is born and you add him/her to the application.

2. Any large, irregular deposit in the last 6 months (which will show up on your 6-month account history) needs to be explained. So if the remaining amount is secured as a gift, you need to provide a gift deed. If you sell your car, or house, or jewelry or some other asset, you need to provide documentation of the sale. Basically you just need to prove where the money is coming from to satisfy IRCC that it's not the proceeds of a loan you've taken out to satisfy the settlement fund requirement (loans aren't allowed because the funds from such are technically encumbered).
