Hi Guys,

I and my wife been for the medical test and my wife is the primary applicant and I am dependent. Everything went well we gave our blood, urine, x-ray and consultation went well. However, for me, the Dr mentioned that I have to do echo test for the heart for assurance purposes. The clinic will be sending my reports today to CIC. Doing this test is in my own interest and not needed for CIC.

I want to ask will this affect my medical? what are the reasons if the officer wants to reject the application? if I get rejected will I be ever eligible to apply in future?

Thanks.

Very unlikely that this will affect your eligibility.
The doctor can tell you better once they do the echocardiogram.
I went for a medical test for another visa application a few years back and from the chest X-ray, the doctor found that my heart was enlarged than usual. They called me back and advised I see a heart specialist. After that consultation, I was found to have 'Cardiomegalay'- a heart condition where the heart is enlarged and the patient suffers from high blood pressure which is incurable and puts the patient at a high risk of heart disease including heart attack! Well, I still passed that medical test and also the medical test for CIC in March 2017! No problem!

TL;DR: Unless you have an imminent health issue due to your cardiovascular health, you will have no problem.
If they find one, you will be more concerned about your life, not immigration anymore!

Relax for now. It is probably due to your stress and high blood pressure on the previous test day!

Thank you so much. That's reassuring. :)
