Has anyone had approval from missisauga yet? We are applying from UK and received email on September 11th 2017 saying our visa processing office would be missisauga but have heard nothing since, we assumed London would of been ours ? We are married with twins who are canadian citizens because of me just trying to get husband approved

There's been many people who have received a positive DM from Mississauga. :)

You can follow the separate Mississauga Processing thread, which is for those who have received that email. Also, I find the consolidated spreadsheet (link below) to be a great way to see how the Mississauga applications are progressing.

Joining this thread as I received my DM from on September 1st and have yet to receive anything further.
Hoping something comes soon as I am out of Canada just waiting to return.

MyCIC updated today showing that my background check has started. ECAS still says application received and neither my wife nor I received any e-mails about our application being transferred.

Same. They just re-requested my RCMP finger prints.

If they re-request my FBI check and biometrics I'm going to be so bleeping mad. It took 3 months to get my FBI check and to get my fingerprints I'd have to go back down to the States!

You don’t! Use an FBI channeler.
This is what I did. I got my fingerprint. The ink ones. Sent them to the channeler and paid the fee. Then I got them in like two weeks. Some people hear back within a day but idk what channeler they used.

I luckily requested two copies. So if they ask me for my american ones again. I’ll send in the second copy with a note saying “I haven’t returned to the US since receiving these results. So there would be no change to them.. there would be no point.

Here's the response to my Access to Information request:
They refused to provide pages 4 and 5, regarding their triage criteria, using an exemption:
16 (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains
  • (b) information relating to investigative techniques or plans for specific lawful investigations;
Which I do not agree with: triage criteria that determines whether an application is complex or not is NOT an investigative technique. Each application undergoes the same scrutiny (and therefore outcome). I will be complaining about this to the Information Commissioner (in addition to my existing complaint for them taking 34 days to complete and then 2 more days to put it in a mailbox)

so what does any of that mean...

  • OB570 is older than we thought (or only implemented recently)
  • If you were OB570-streamed, and then weren't, it's probably a bad sign and you should order GCMS notes ASAP.
  • PPR will come from CPC, no VO will be involved, the CoPR will come from CPC.
  • They want to keep the triage criteria a secret.
How would we know if we were OB570 steamed and then not..
they were reviewing if we met the requirements for like seven months.
And we just recently started seeing movement I.e.; BGC going into progress and then requesting my RCMP fingerprints.
What would a bad sign be?

AOR2 will say CPC-M.
It may also be mentioned in GCMS notes.

How do you tell if you were “OB570 streamed” ? I was transferred to Ottawa early on and then transferred back to cpc m

Wait. Yeah mine doesn’t say any of that.
I have no notifications of where things are.
But I do know Ottawa is doing (‘doing’) my eligibility for common law.
And Mississauga is doing my BGC. (Because they just requested I send them my RCMP print results to Mississauga.
So I have no idea
