Medical passed
Bg in process
18 months so far

- When should I expect my ppr??
- I have to visit Mexico in jan. Not sure if I will get my PR before that, also do we need USA visa to travel to Mexico??
- How could I even travel when the pr card is received after 4 months of getting the actual pr??

Any help would be much appreciated.... in tensed mood .....

Applied for bowp which takes 90 days but did not apply

July 25 2016 Inland applicant here. Received my MR yesterday and luckily got an appointment the same day! How long before medical status is passed.

It partially depends on how fast your doctor turns in the paperwork to cic. I have seen timeline from one week to three weeks (myself).

- I have to visit Mexico in jan. Not sure if I will get my PR before that, also do we need USA visa to travel to Mexico??
Do u have valid Canadian visa? if yes, u do not need visa to travel to Mexico. If no, problem is returning back to Canada
Due to the entry into force of new Migration Law Regulations in Mexico, as of November 9, 2012, new guidelines will be applied to the documentation of foreigners entering and leaving Mexico, including visa issuance and travel of minors, among other provisions.Consequently, several sections of this page will be under modification. I applied for paper based pr. Received my aor in may 2017. I am planning to do upfront medical. Can u explain how medical thing works. Does the doctors sends medical report to ircc or do they give us something to send.

First of all, upfront medical will not speed up your application. This is proven.

Second, I hope u are aware that medical is good for 12 months. In this time u need to land, upon getting pr.

Also, there are different categories for med exam. I know here on forum there was a person who made it wrong category

Upfront are done for express entry, IME is issued by doctor. In paper based case, IME is issued by CIC

Also, it is harder to track it.

Do not complicate your life, u will get med request around Feb 2018

Actually I am thinking to apply for express entry as I had 1 year of work experience now. For express entry i have to do upfront medical. So, I was thinking if i can use the same medical for ee as well as paper based application. But i dont know how to do that
