which one first? a) 'decision made' on Ecas, or b) 'BC in progress' on MYCIC

Just wondering if the folks who have reached the final stage (i.e. approved or visa stamping) could share their experience.

Which status update happened first for you guys

a) Ecas started showing 'decision made', OR
b) MyCIC started showing 'background check' in progress

Just trying to figure which one to watch for..

P.S. In case it matters, my case belongs to PGP category.

Background in process then, DM in ECAS. CIC won't change from background in process though until your COPR is mailed to you after a passport request. That's how it worked for family class anyways.

I believe you only need to send in a photocopy but I could be wrong

US Citizens just send in a photocopy of your passport. They send you a list of what they require you to send in. Read it twice as the first time you are too excited to comprehend fully what they want
