Shall i link my paper application to online IRCC account study visa

I applied for study permit at VFS Chandigarh on 26th Sep for Jan 2018 intake.But tracking has no updates.Is it better to link it online with email other than the one written in application.And one more question is application id/no. I don't have it.Where can i get it.

You can link with any email id, create a my cic account with gc key. You will need your family name & dob to link your application online. Search for mycic on google.

Ok, Thanks for replying . But in my passport, I don't have Surname/Family name.Only first name.So, what should I enter there.

I also have the same problem and if i leave family name field empty it shows vaildation error.

Same here.If i enter my name in both given name and surname, it says "application not found."
