Hi,

I received my coPR and I'm currently living in UK. Do I have to come back to Canada to make them send the PR card or is there another way of doing it without paying a flight round trip just for that?

Thank you!

You must come to Canada and land as a PR before your COPR expires.

Well first you need to land in Canada with your COPR to activate your PR status before the COPR expires.

Unless you have a Canadian address for your PR card to be mailed to it will not be processed at the initial landing and immigration will not mail outside of Canada.

If you return to UK you will need to apply for a PRTD to fly back to Canada and once back in Canada you can apply for your card, but only once back in the country.

Sounds good, thank you for your answers! Appreciate it.

I have a Canadian address (friend's address). So can I land in Canada, activate the PR so they can send the PR card to my friend's address and come back to the UK, and then once my friend receive the PR card, he can mail it to me in UK. Is that fine?

Thanks!

Yes, you can do that.
