You should be completely Done within one year worst case and thats next April. and you need 3 - 4 months for the test notification, test, ceremony notification.. worst case you will hear something by January. and Im sure you will hear something much earlier. This month or next at max.

Friends of mine applied in 2013-14 under old rules. Paid $100 dollars and got their certificate in 12 months.
Now we must pay five time more $630.
Interested only in real experience.
From application to the actual passport time frame?
Thanks.

I am wondering if I should contact anyone or it’s too early at this point. I see that files applied a month later has already written a test For Halifax office.

I am still to get an invite. Not sure if it’s too early to call?

You are one month behind other applicants. Its not much. I dont think they will till you anything if you call, because you are still with in the one year limit they post for routine applications. they will take it more seriously if you passed that limit.

However, there is definitely no harm from calling them and asking. I think you should. Did they ask you for fingerprints or any other documents in the past?

I noticed that if an applicant gets delayed at one stage, they speed thing for him on later stages.

Thank you, and no I haven't been asked anything yet. Yeah just a month behind but just the ones applied after me has got test invite from Halifax office. I thought mine was straight forward case since I was as PR greater than 5 years. Thanks again.

At the interview she said they need to get a travel history from the border CBSA.
So, it means it's gonna take another few months to get the request to be done?
