Hello GUys,
Do I need to get all the documents notarized? For Example, my birth certificate, copy of passport, etc.

Marriage certificate of my parents is not in english. I am getting it translated and then will include 2 things copy of original (notarized) and translation (notarized).
Do I need to get an affidavit of the translator as per the CIC guide. Is notarization of the two documents not enough ?

THanks

Do sponsors received messages from CIC for additional requirements they need from the applicants or the person you are sponsoring too? Or do they just send the messages directly to the applicants?

It goes directly to the applicant and/or their representative. If the sponsor assigned themselves as the rep, they will get it.

Hi Guys,

newbie in this forum, where can I find the spreadsheet 2017 and see other member's timeline? TIA

Hello everyone, I am new PR in Canada. I landed on 20th June 2017. After how long I can sponsor my parents?

I have done some search and found we need 3 years tax documents. It means I have to wait 3 years to sponsor my parents?

Thank you!

Yes you can enter the lottery after 3 years if you meet the minimum income letter. Your parents will still have to pass the medical assessment if they get picked. You may want to look into the supervisa program.

Hello Folks, any help and advice here will be much appreciated.
I have been working in Canada for the past 3 years and received my PR June 2017.
I would now like to sponsor my parents, what is the process? Has anyone else been thru this route? Thank you.

Hi all,

I was hoping someone could help with some of the questions:

Form IMM 5406:
Q: I am sponsoring my father and mother. I am bit confused by the statement on top of the form. It reads: The principal applicant, their spouse or common law partner (if applicable), and all dependent children 18 years of age or older must complete their own copy of this form.

Does that mean my father and mother will need to complete this form individually (i.e., two copies of this form)? If yes, and to clarify, my father will become the applicant (first row) in one copy and my mother will become applicant in the other copy - is that correct?

Could you also tell how to fill in the names in native language? Can I print and fill in that info with pen?

Please advise the experienced members.
