Thanks for your reply.

Do you or anyone know how long it takes from the time the passport was sent into the printing room to dispatch?
Thank you.
From what I've read in this thread about a couple of weeks or some times more.

I sent my passport on September 25th so we basically have the same timeline. I am hoping to have the application updated to approved sometime next week.

Thanks so much for your reply. I am hoping the same for next week update. However I am worried due to the long weekend. Let see. Hope CIC/visa printing processing occurs during holidays or weekends.

Unless you really hate your job. I suggest you wait till you get your PP in hand. Maybe if you have a long notice period, you could consider quitting once your return tracker is activated.

1. First make sure you do the landing procedure.
1a. Get SIN number updated.
2. Make sure you have another job offer and say yes to that job with enough time for you to resign current job and start with the offered job.
3. Follow proper job resignation procedure as per your contract. AKA give the employer enough (minimum) required time - aka resignation letter with enough time.
4. Say bye to the current employer. Start a new job.

You are welcome.

How does it matter if you are working for the same employer for 4 years or 1 year - if you dont have PR or COPR and you have not landed?

If you are landed immigrant then you can do anything you want. As I read from your post that you are waiting for PR stamp in your passport. At the same time you want to resign ASAP even before receiving PR stamped PP or landing.
If you resign prior to landing - the officer at the border can ask you current employment documents and if you tell them that you resigned then the officer can ask for supporting funds...and lead to many questions.

You seem to be very smart as you are working here for 4 years in Saskatchewan and you should have figured this out and you dont even need to ask a question here in the forum. Please dont waste others time (we have already our things to worry about) and yours (you may have lot of free time working in Saskatchewan).

Hello Friends,

Can someone please give me the number to call from US to find out the status of my application? I have read a lot of people on this forum mentioning that they spoke to an agent and the got an update. Which number can I call to do the same?

Thanks a lot in advance.

BTW I had not realized you were an inland applicant. In this case you should investigate if you have a job dependency for landing, in which case wait till you land. I am Outland so I have no job dependencies.

My timeline is following

AOR- 1 July 17
PPR- 22 SEPT 17
PP sent - 26th SEPT 17
PP received by Ottawa- 27th SEPT 17

I spoke to the CIC agent today (6th OCT 2017) and the agent mentioned to me that the PPs were received on 27th SEPT 17 and the CIC agent received/opened our PPs on 2 OCTOBER 2017. Also she mentioned to me that " I should hear back from CIC by 17th OCT 2017" and if dont hear from them I should call them back.

My question is "what does it mean by CIC agent opened/received my PP?"
Also " what does it mean when she told me I should hear back from CIC by 17th OCT 2017?"

Any reply will be appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry Bro!
here is the number - +1 888-242-2100
Idk if CIC is reachable from US as this number is specific for calling from within Canada. However, people use different methods to mask the number with which you are calling (in this case US number).
Good luck.
