Is anybody facing a long waiting time between date she/he gets AOR and the date of the application starts processing. For me it has been more than 2 weeks.

Something new to panic for, maybe we should reapply? :D

but seriously I think the local offices are starting to get overwhelmed with apps, the "In process" rate seems to get slower these days.

Basing the "standard wait time" on the few people, including myself, who got IP quickly isn't wise. If you look at all historical data on the spreadsheet you will see two patterns: -

1) Large groups who received IP quickly but had longer processing times
2) Large groups who waited longer for IP but the processing happened quicker.

We need to be realistic and look at average timelines vs a very small % of what we have seen recently. IRCC received a large influx of applications in October and we cannot make assumptions about standard processing !

What happens after AOR anyway? Does the application get transferred to local office right away or stay in Sydney for a while before the transfer?

Yeah that's what I was thinking about hoping it's just about time..
It's only when I looked at the excel sheet I started wondering why it took so long for in process
