I am not saying they will 100% or even 80%, 90% announce a date for 3/5, but the possibility of them making the event about oath while saying the event is about C6 is 0%, not 1%

I respect your freedom to share your opinion, but I recommend you don't go around announcing it just as you are approaching your citizenship application.

I am sure nobody is dumb enough to say that, just like a lot of things in life when you have the obligation to say 'your baby is the cutest' or 'your cookies are the best I have ever had', we all know it is most likely not true but we still pretend

I still can’t comprehend, why would CIC choose Facebook Live to make an ‘important announcement‘ about Bill C-6. After all its an official announcement from a federal department. Why not use mainstream media or issue an official video or written press release?

I would keep my optimism to moderate level. I think the intent is that minister wants to 'connect to masses’ and generally inform/educate them what changes C-6 brings to the citizenship act. Most of us who follow this forum know about nitty-gritty of bill C-6, but this is not the case with thousands of PR or immigrants.

So, I am at 50% confidence level that he will actually announce a concrete date for 3/5 rule to come into force. Well again, I hope I am wrong.

Guys, they said there will be an "EXCITING C6 UPDATE". For sure it's about the Coming Into Force dates. I consider this a fact.

They will of course hold a press conference where mainstream media are also invited. They will just stream it on Facebook, too. Because they want to be cool and up to date with their social media stuff. An obviously, just like after most press conferences, there will also be a written press briefing. So they will do all the normal stuff. They are just setting up a camera and connect it to Facebook.

That is true… Internet forums like this are for discussions, we have people from all backgrounds, patience, anxiety, speculation, imagination levels etc.

"FACTS ONLY" and discussion forum? Hmmm not sure how these two can ever go together… For Facts there are books, research articles, websites, blogs, news... not public discussions! Just my opnion.

May be the person who tweeted the first one is more left-wing and 'excited' about C-6 changes... and the one who sent the last one is inclined towards conservative politic views, so major change for them.. ha ha
