I moved to Canada as a PR in March 2016 and have been working since Nov 2016. My Husband is working for past 6 years in Canada. All of his family is here and he has not sponsored anyone except me. I want to sponsor my parents to Canada and want to know if he can act as a co-signer now.

My questions are :

1- Do I need to work for 3 years before I can start the process ?
2- I have an elder sister who was mentally ill and she is unmarried. She is perfectly fine now. She is 32 and I want to know I can sponsor her using any method ?

Thanks in advance.

Please don't bump your thread repeatedly - it's rude. People offer advice here for free and sometimes it can take a few hours or even days for the right person to respond. Your post hasn't even been up for an hour yet. If you want an immediate answer - hire an immigration lawyer.

1) You don't need to work for three years. You can use your husband's income provided it meets LICO.
2) She needs to qualify to immigrate on her own. You can't sponsor her.

Hi Scylla,
I am so glad when i found you still active in this thread. I want to give all the forum members a big thanks who are always with people who are really in trouble to find the correct answer. I just remembering all my memories when I have submitted my immigration file with only the help of my forum friends. its a power.. definitely... its a power of us....

anyways,
now i am a PR holder, now I will sponsor my mom next year. I am having hard time with a situation. I lives in Canada. I have two to brothers, who are more than 18 years, and have their own family. they are not coming with my mom here. i am sponsoring her alone. My question is:
1) who will fill those 2 forms: Schedule A, Background Declaration and Additional family information?
my mom is principal applicant, so only she? or mom + we all 3 brothers separately (in total 4 separate forms copy of those?
2) In additional Family Info should we mention all my mom's brother & sisters name also who are not alive now?

please help me...
