Express entry VISA Validity and Resign from Organization

Dear All,

I have a question regarding VISA Validity of Express Entry. I am working in India in company and notice period is of 3 months.

I have heard that VISA validity when stamped is only valid till validity of Medical.

When to resign from Organization? As medical will be done after ITA and is valid for a Year from that date. What if the verification process takes longer time and when VISA arrives then medical has validity of only 1 month.

Ex. Medical done on 20th October 2017

VISA Stamped on 20th September 2018, then here VISA will be valid only till 20th October 2018 as the VISA is given only till Medical validity.

So, what should be done in this case? As I will resign only after VISA is stamped or is there a way out?

Leaving your job is solely onto your discretion. There are people who left their jobs once they got their ITAs, after submitting eAPRs etc etc. But yes if indeed your Visa is stamped just one month prior to your Meds expiry, you need to land in CA before the expiry of your Meds no matter what.

If you have to give 3 months notice, and the process takes so long that, once you get PPR, the 3 months will take you past the deadline on your visa, you can "soft land". That is, fly to Canada for a few days (take vacation or personal leave or whatever), land and claim your PR status, provide the address of a family member or friend in Canada for IRCC to send your PR Card to, then go back to your home country and ride our the rest of your 3-month notice period, while simultaneously applying for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) so you can board a flight to get back to Canada when you finally move there permanently (since you won't have your PR Card yet).

(If you don't want to get the PRTD, you can ask the friend or family member in Canada to mail your PR Card to you in your home country once they get it, but I'm never a huge fan of the idea of mailing travel documents across geographical borders - too many horrors stories about them being confiscated or lost for whatever reason).
