Sponsoring my daughter from US

I am a Canadian citizen. My daughter is living in the US with her mom. She and her mom are US citizen and she still a minor, 15 years old. My daughter wants to come and live with me in Canada and I want to file PR for her. Her mom is ok with it and has given her consent for it and will sign the needed documents. Just wanted to check if you guys can help me how to go by this. Much appreciated.

Will it be the same procedure, as my wife and me divorced 7 years ago and she has full custody of our daughter and I only want to sponsor my daughter and not my wife? Thanks

Yes - it's the same. You're only sponsoring your daughter - not your ex-wife.
