Dear

1. Im confused about B4 and B4A forms --- are they identical with B4A having more space ?

2. WHich one should i use for accompanying goods and which one for goods to follow ?

3. Is it important for customs to stamp copies of BOTH (accompanying and to follow forms) ?
Ive heard cases where customs dont bother to see GTF form and dont stamp it . . isnt that going to cause problem with payable duties in future ?

Thanks

You use 1 x B4 and as many B4a continuation sheets as required for each of the accompanying and to-follow lists. Make 2 copies of each list. GTF list MUST BE SHOWN AND STAMPED. You will not be able to clear the goods through Customs without it.

I have a doubt with B4 and B4A forms. Our main/hand baggage are already checked by the airport officials. So, is it still necessary to list out the items we carry in the baggage? Also, I am travelling on Mar 4th and my wife and kid are coming on Apr 4th. We haven't planned yet on what my wife will be bringing. I have a plan to study things in Canada in that 1 month and then advice her to bring things based on my understanding of the Canada market. In that case, how can I fill the B4A form? Please advice.

You need to have forms for anything that is currently outside Canada and that you intend to pass through Customs. If goods are already inside Canada and have already been through Customs, you don't need to declare them again. I'm not sure what you mean by "Our main/hand baggage are already checked by the airport officials.". Declare anything that you *might* bring, even if you later decide to leave it behind. You can't add things later to the B4 Goods to Follow list if it has already been stamped by CBSA.

Thanks Zardoz

If we use the SAME B4 form for BOTH accompanying goods and Goods to follow ... then how will we differentiate between the two ?

Is there a box that we check or title we put in the form ?

Thanks again

You use two separate lists, each with a B4 and as many B4a as required. The B4 has a tick box for "to follow" IIRC. Download the forms from the CBSA website.

Our main luggage will go through the airport scanner and the officials will know what things are inside our luggage. Then why we again declare them in a list? That is what I meant to say.

Airport security scanners are nothing to do with Customs. You need to declare what is being taken. Scanning is done at the departure airports. Custom inspection is at the arrival airport.

Hello and blessings to all,

I have some doubts maybe someone can help me.

I am the principal applicant and me and my partner are traveling together and will land on march in Vancouver, however we will carry our money via bank draft separately.

That being said, do we need to declare individually (one form per person) or only me as the principal applicant? stating the summation of both amounts? Assuming, each of us will carry more than CA 10,000.

The same with the goods, we will not carry any furniture or jewellery but my partner will carry his playstation, electric guitars and our laptops. Do we need to declare this items? And wich form do we have to use? Only ONE B4 for the two or separately?

And finally, we are still processing some money saved from our pension that will enter after us, so we need to declare this cash in goods to follow? And if so, in wich form?.

I don't really understand the difference between B4 and B4a forms :S

I appreciate any help.

Procedure for obtaining transcripts for Mumbai University credential evaluation for higher education or immigration to US and Canada.

Mumbai University Transcripts Procedure

The process for Mumbai University transcript need to be attested by either the University or College or both based on which degree you have completed.

1. First step you will need to choose whether you want to apply for transcript or attestation. Transcripts can be directly applied at University of Mumbai office however the process takes 2-3 months duration. Alternately, attestation of documents in a sealed envelope is a faster process. Attested documents in sealed envelope from the University and the College are accepted worldwide by institutions. I am mentioning here the process for attestation:

2. Take original documents to the college. Pay the necessary fees for the transcript attestation. The fees varies between Rs.1500 per document to Rs.50 per document. Take number of sets of xerox copies of mark sheets along with you and an envelope.

3. Get the xerox copies attested by the Registrar or the Principal after showing the originals. Get the signature and seal of the Principal on the sealed envelope after placing each set in a separate seal

4. Take new sets of xerox copies and the originals to the University office and University Students Welfare Division, next to Sydhnem College, Churchgate. Pay Rs.100 university fee per set. The documents need to be taken between 11am to 2pm only. Ensure the documents are placed in a sealed envelope and the reverse flap is sealed and signed.

5. Please write full name and address of the University on the envelope.

6. Send the two envelopes to your ECA for processing.

Just in case you need help, you may reach out to clear transcripts.
