Hi

One week ago, I have received CPCO-FINAL-REQUEST email to submit passport/copies and photos. I am a UK citizen, so exempt from visa (although I need the eTA = electronic travel authorization). The email says this:

If you do not require a visa to enter Canada:
  • Please submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the valid passport for you and one for each accompanying family member.
Note: Visa exempt applicants using MyCIC are not required to submit a physical copy – please upload this information to your MyCIC account.

For citizens using MyCIC AND from a country that is exempt from obtaining a visa to Canada –

Please mail/courier only your photos (see ‘STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS’ above). All other information must be uploaded to your MyCIC account.

Now on my CIC account, there is no option to upload any new documents because there is no request. And the status still says:

Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Since I cannot upload passport copies, I would appreciate your advice on what should I do next?

Many thanks

You may have to submit it through the IRCC webform. In this case, in addition to the scanned copy of your passport you should include a letter of explanation detailing using this method of delivery.

I've seen a similar post on the British Expats forum. I didn't read the whole thread but here it is in case you find it useful: http://britishexpats.com/forum/immigration-citizenship-canada-33/ready-visa-email-uploading-copies-documents-903684/
Congratulations on getting your PR!

Great - this is very helpful! Seems like a lot of people are having this problem. Its kind of annoying that they are not bothered to fix these glitches (and I have come across many in this process) which is quite off-putting to be honest. Come on Canada, you can do better!

Hi @right_gear, did you submit your information by post then?

If so how long did it take to get your reply?

I submitted photocopies of my passport to them last Wednesday and got confirmation today that application has been accepted. So took exactly one week.

In the meantime, I had also emailed them on Sunday using Case Specific Form and they got back on Tuesday by email too that all documents are in order.

Nice one - thanks for sharing that. I will do the same!
