The cic said they will forward my application to Manila that's the one thing I am concerned of, do you think they will require as The registration of our martiage in the philippines?

My husband/ sponsor was a former Filipino Citizen and now a naturalized Canadian citizen by the time that he sponsored me. I was and still am a Filipino Citizen when I filed for divorce from my first marriage here in Canada and got married eventually to my sponsor- also in Canada. What I'm trying to point out is that as long as the divorce is recognized from where you obtained it from and has been finalized before you entered a new marriage, then it will be recognized by IRCC. When we applied, I submitted divorce and marriage cert and later on got requested for AOM. By the time that I had to attend CFO, one of the requirements is registration of marriage in the Phils, which obviously I was not aware of, so I just explained that as soon as I land in Canada, that's the only time that I can get it registered at the Philippine Consulate.

My case is I got married in hk last year then we had a ceremony held in our church on January this year, I found out that the person who officiate our marriage registered our wedding in NSO, so I assumed that there will be a possibilty of two conflicting dates: our wedding date in hk and our wedding date in the philippines. Do the MVO do background check for this? I am trying to find a solution for this matter so that we are prepared if the MVO find out about this.

Hi i dont think we have the same situation cause u marry the same person anyways yours is easy u just need to send them an explanation saying that you married the same peraon twice .. ur both single iam i ryt?

CIC asked for my AOM coz they just wanted to see if there's conflicitng info that I've given them, they also wanted to check if I'm not commiting bigamy by the time of my marriage.. those are the most logical ways that I could think of as to why they ould request for an AOM. Again, I got divroced in Canada and married my current husband in Canada as well. All accross my application, Ive declared of only 1 ex husband, father of my children. So they wanted to see if I'm consistent with what I'm declaring all along thru the AOM. Hope this helps! Sorry for the late repl, just got caught up with work. Good luck!

Hi lanilesmay i ask for a follow up did MVO asked for ur AOM? What dis u do did u register your new marriage to NSO? Or did u just sent them an explanation? Can u pls give me an idea how it went .. thank u

Automatic na dahil sa Pinas kami kinasal ni ex, name nya andun. Di ko niregister new marriage ko sa NSO kc sa Canada kami kinasal ni new hubby so sa consulate general sa Toronto ko na lng ipapa register. Wala ng xplanation letter. The AOM will explain for itself.

Salamt po sa pampabuhay ng loob na reply, ako po ang sponsor at ako po ang divorced ang new hubby ko po single sya at sa hk kami kinasal, if ever po hingin ang AOM ko lalabas ang ex ko at if ever hingin AOM nya wala po cya maprepresent kundi cenomar lang kasi hnd po registered kasal namin sa pinas.. does that mean since sa hk kami need p nmin paregister sa phil consulate sa hk o just disregard nalang po?
