hi everyone around me is scaring me that i have to leave canada im looking everywhere and doing everything I Can to not waste my 2 years study..
I studied for 2 years in a full time program and after completion of my program i have 90 DAYS of time to apply to CIC. Like I 90 days after my program completion is aug 31st and i applied to PGWP on august 2nd. it was clearly shown that i have time till 90 days
How long can you stay in Canada with a study permit?
A study permit is usually valid for the length of your study program, plus an extra 90 days. This extra time lets you prepare to leave Canada or apply to extend your stay.

- If you can’t finish your courses before the date on your permit, you must apply to extend your stay as a student.
- If you finish your studies early, your permit will stop being valid 90 days after you complete your studies (no matter what day is printed on the study permit).
You have completed your studies either- on the date you get the first notification from your school (such as an email, letter, transcript, etc.) or
- when you get your degree, diploma or certificate.
Note: If you can’t prove the date you were first notified by your school, we will use the earliest issue date on the document. We may need to confirm this date with your school.
this is there in CIC website, but after apllying i came to know that my study permit expired on august 1st, how can i get only 60 days and everyone around me get 90 days, i asked CIC and they told me there is no rule that we have to give you 90days. - now even if they are correct, i was waiting for my reply of PGWP since i already applied, and it got rejected due to expired study permit.
- i need to apply for restoration and it might or might not get accepted.
- i approached someone to apply restoration seeking for help first i was told they could help me and see all the possible ways and later they told me its only 50-50 chance but lets try our best.
- and if i got rejection i have to leave canada, Thats it! I studied hard for 2 years spent lots of money and isnt there any way, should i just leave like that, should i atleast get a chance to explain. I agree my mistake i should have noticed the expiry date but unfortunately i dint cause i was apllying with my friends who came to canada with me at same time but should i really leave .I hope you understand my pain. please respond to me ASAP.
