Hi Everyone,

I have received my and my wife's CoPR few days back. We need to travel by 31st July 2018 to collect my PR .
Now we are also planning a baby. My wife is not yet pregnant. We are a bit confused as to when we should travel to collect our PR. Can someone clear my followings doubts

1) If we travel now and collect the PR. Then if baby is born outside Canada will our visa be non valid . What is the process to get baby to Canada?
2) If we travel now and collect the PR. Then if baby is born in Canada will the baby be automatically Canadian?
3) If we land in Canada while my wife is pregnant , then would I be declared non admissible if we dont declare the pregnancy before landing in Canada?
4) Can we extend the landing period for my wife in case she is pregnant and wants to have child outside India?

4) No - you cannot extend landing.

You don't go to collect the PR. You do the landing first, then youvwait couple of months to receive the PR card.
For your questions:
1. No, your PR status will not be invalid.
2. Yes, she will be Canadian citizen.
3. No. You don't need to declare pregnancy.
4. I didn't understand what you are asking about.
Thanks ahamdi for the reply. I have taken your advice and now I am doing the landing first and then see how it spans out

Given their may be a waiting period before you health coverage starts depending on where you land (which province) I would recommend that you wait to try to get pregnant until you have health coverage in Canada.
