Seems like CIC has been slow these days...

July 22, 2016 Applicant here
SA and AIP July 2017
and nothing else from then on..

hopefully next week we get our DM and landing! PLEEASSSSEEEEE!!!!!

How about you? do we have same officer initial?

Officers don't matter. Also, they tend to work in teams.

Hello folks! just wanted share my landing experience. Im august 2016 applicant. we receive DM and SA Sept 12, 2017 and receive landing interview letter the following day. our appointment was 9 AM but me and my husband along with our 3 year old daughter arrive there 40 min early. the officer let us in and ask my passport and proof of receipt we paid the 490$ for PR while casually chatting with us. few minutes later more people came and the same officer ask us to go inside the interview room. and as soon as we went inside the room our daughter said she needed to potty LOL long story short officer was very nice enough and allowed us to exit the room to help our 3 year potty and we came back 5 min later and he just confirmed everything on our landing paper, signed the paper, made sure i know where to get SIN and health card and told me my obligation as PR. and ask if we any question. all that happened while our 3 year old was screaming she needed to take a number 2 and loudly saying "stinky poo poo" repeatedly LOL she never does this i swear! she could have chosen to do this on any other days and chose to do this on one very important day of our lives.

sharing/over-sharing our experience LOL because ive been reading post from other folks getting nervous about their interview which also got me nervous about mine. and the night before going i told my husband to review our forms LOL so yep that was our experience. one for the books.

after that we went to get SIN and applied for OHIP. no problem getting SIN but i was told theres a 90 day waiting for OHIP and that ill be eligible for coverage in December ??? not sure if its the same for everyone.

so glad this is over and I wish and hope for everyone to have their happy ending.
Thankful for the people in this forum who have help me with my questions and those who responded to me via PM. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Pretty funny. You know by the point of landing, you're going to be a PR. And they are people too. I am surprised they didn't let your kid poop

Yea OHIP waiting period is 90 days from a confirmed date (landing, or employment, etc).

I can't link my application to online account. Anytime I try it says I have a correspondence attached and he has the authority to link it and view the status. Well I do have a lawyer and anytime I request him to do that he doesn't respond . Is there anyway I could by pass this and link it myself

Based on my understanding so far, I believe london drugs is very very reliable.
My husband also got request for proper photo many years ago nd he went to london drugs for the new ones.
My son's photo for canadian passport was also taken there and there was no complain, my son was just 12months old at the time.

We did Walmart photos. Card issued fine.

Yes. Fire the lawyer and notify CIC. When you have a rep, only they can link.

You know what that's what I have been thinking of. I was desperate and needed one and now I realize If anyone isn't in a bad situation like mine, there isn't any need for one. I paid a almost close to 3000$ and I don't know his role. He never even responds to my text regarding my file. He is so pessimistic

Unless you need to go to court, which most cases don't need at all, it's not worth a lawyer. Some cases might require some paperwork or proof. They might ask for more info -- totally normal -- just respond with the paperwork.

The lawyer requires you to provide the info anyway...so why pay them to do paperwork that you have to do for them anyway?

With help of the forum, you can do it all yourself!

But to answer the bypass question -- only removing your rep will allow you to bypass.
