FSW COPR- URGENT RESPONSE REQD

Hi,

Program- FSW

I got email from CPC- Ottawa stating that I need to submit my passport through VFS to Canadian High Commission in New Delhi wrt. my permanent residence application. Three questions:
1. My CIC account still says application under review. Is it safe to send passport now . Any idea when does the account get suitably updated?
2. How much time will I be given to land in Canada with my PR Visa and COPR ? Will it be few months at least as notice period in my current job is 3 months. Why I am asking this is because if I have to stay for at least 1 month in Canada , then how can I manage 1 month leave from my job when I have 3 months notice period to serve. I am all confused here.
3. Is it possible for me to land and return back in 1 week or is it mandatory to stay for 1 month to activate the PR card?

Pls help.

1. The status of your application will stay as "under review" for now. It will turn to "Approved" two or three weeks (depending on how busy they are) after you send in your passport

2. Your PR visa will be valid for one year from the date of your medical, or valid till the date of your passport expiry, whichever is closer. You need to land before that date.

3. You can leave Canada whenever you wish after you land. Just remember you can't fly back into Canada without your PR card. The current processing time for PR card is 61 days. So if you leave sooner than that, you need someone else to receive the card for you

My medical done on 20th Aug 2017 & passport expiry is 23 Dec 2023. So you mean to say that, I will get approx. time till 1- AUG -2018 to land?

I hope they don't stamp saying I have only 1 month to land! In CIC website, it is not mentioned anywhere as to how much time they usually give for landing once COPR & PR visa is given for FSW guys.

If your medical was done on 20th, IRCC would have received it a few days later. So your visa should probably be valid till around 23 Aug 2018
