POF- Mom's account

Hi Seniors,

My friend is applying for PR and need clarification on POF. Funds are present in her mom's account as fixed deposit. Can she use them as POF given her mom writes a gift deed stating that it's a gift and she doesn't have to return them?

funds MUST be in Principal Applicant account, there is no way to proove to cic the pof in somebody else's account !
her mom should transfer the money into the PA account and should have written a gift deed from her mother
