How to call CIC from outside Canada/US?

I'm in India and have been trying to get in touch with CIC on their toll-free number +1-888-242-2100. I understand that it's not free outside Canada and I'm ready to pay whatever it costs to actually speak to a human to ask about my application.

When I call the number, there's an automated message which says 'The toll-free number you have dialed is not toll-free when called from outside the United States. You will be charged at international dial rate' and then it just disconnects.

Any idea how else I can call?

I think I saw someone mention a Skype call (you'll have to buy credit)

You can use Google Hangouts and call CIC for free... The number is +1 613-944-4000.

However on email they had said it's being processed at new dekhib

After automated message there is option that if you want to speak to an agent in call centre. But if your file is outside Canada then they won't be able to help you... that's what happened with me.

yeah, so the trick is to keep calling, I think if the wait is more than a certain number of minutes, it stops queuing. I called a few times and finally got an agent.

She was not able to give me much information. My guess is they only see what we see online. Maybe a little more information. But, emailing the cpc seems to be a better shot at getting more details.

Hi. Why 4 months and not 6? If someone transfers you such amounts, you MUST prove that these funds are not borrowed. So you have to get Gift Deeds from both your dad and uncle and notarize them. The gift deed must say that these funds were given to you and they don't expect you to pay the money back.

Yes thats thr good one but sometimes when they have a rush they dont take calls :/
