1 year gap i have filled in personal history section. I just wrote there that i was preparing for master's entrances during this time.

Is there any more explanation required for that, do i upload a letter for it?

i don't think there is even a need to explain that. I mean you're free to take a gap year. Letter of explanation is for whenever you think something needs clarifying. But your question was about what to upload in optional documents, so that's the LOE
