It was actually longer than I thought it would be. Ceremony was at 830 and I only left at 11am. There were 99 people getting citizenship that day. Checking in took a while and the officiant said they couldn't stay behind for pictures so pictures had to be taken as you received your certificate. I think that's what made it long because everyone had someone to take a picture for them so there was a pause to do that before the next person was called up. Overall a good and proud moment for me and glad to be finally done with CIC.Congratulation! How was the experience and the process?
Thank you. Yes I applied today as I have a trip next week. We were advised to wait 2 business days for our information to be in the system before applying for passports.Congrats. You are done now it's time for the passport lol.

Return of Application-NO, they may ask for more documentsI got my fingerprints done on September 5. I recently called IRCC and they confirmed that they received the results on September 13. If an application has reached this point in the process, is there anything that could happen that could cause them to return the application? I'm just trying to understand at what point in the processing process do they ask for fingerprints. Is it towards the end, have they already looked at other documents like physical presence etc. by this point and determined everything to be okay?
Thanks for the reply rustic. The only reason I was asking was because earlier in the forum I had read that some applications were returned back due to errors with the physical presence calculation. While I am fairly certain that all my dates in the calculation are correct, I don't have a lot of faith in IRCC (just a lot of bad history with them).Fingers crossed.Return of Application-NO, they may ask for more documents
They can ask for FP anytime during the process , earlier the better
Even if they basically checked the physical presence and documents. They will go through in detail when you face the interview on the test day.
Just Relax , everything would be fine. We heard about the return of application because it was "NEWS", may be 1 in 200000 chance of return of application after AOR. Just forget you ever applied and relax. React when you hear something from them. Anticipation of a hit is always worse than the actual hit. Best of luck! Thanks for the reply rustic. @KittyKat In how many days you get the passport once you apply ?Thank you. Yes I applied today as I have a trip next week. We were advised to wait 2 business days for our information to be in the system before applying for passports.
But it doesn't really take too long to complete the application process. There are a lot of people who were asked to do FP and the process was completed in 2 months.CIC these days is asking so many applicants for fingerprint request. Are they making so many applications as non routine ?
I was just searching about non route application for citizenship and this came up

What is a non-routine application?
We consider your application non-routine if:
We also consider your citizenship application non-routine if you:

- test
- interview
- hearing
- we need you to submit extra documents, like:
- fingerprints
- residence documents
- we asked you to come to another interview or hearing after you attended your interview
- failed a test
- didn’t meet the language requirements during your interview
