What does everyone think about going to the federal court filing writ of mandamus which means asking cic to make a decision on our files? We can do a class action or file a group of individual writ petitions

Hey guys I have question I am going for my vacation next month for 2 months, I am june 3 applicant so confused is there will any problem to change visa office I will get my ppr my employer is ready to help in case of queries. I heared they cancel ppr sometimes. Please need suggestions

Hey April applicants,
its too too much for waiting , its been 17 month for so many of applicants by now....CIC says 16 months to process our applications...
if we will not getting PPR by next week then we will have to ask for help to CIC itself by getting together as all of us are sticking at one place since much longer time we want to grow our self by moving ahead in our careers and PLEASE DO NOT FORGET JAN and FEB applicants are still waiting and no body of us wants to get there PPR after 3 to 4 months from now.
EVERY ONE called CIC and they says it is for final review. BUT when it is going to happen?????????????

Please think guys in our case every one asking for help to CIC/ MP by calling them individually is not going to make any difference, we need to get together and ask for help.... Agree or NOT???

Should we maybe put together a list with names, member of parliament to either make a petition or go to each MPs in groups.

Geez...how come cic didn't finish the old cases first before launching ee?! that's absolutely unfair to us. i'd like to become a refugee rather than a regular applicant.

Thats what I always think .... they should have finished their old inventory of files before launching another immigration system... they should have stop accepting or processing new files until they have cleared backlog or what they can do allow eligibile applicants (existing paper file applicants) to convert their files to ee and process their files faster.... set a criteria if u pass that u will have option to convert existing file to ee then we will process faster from that point... not providing any kind of solution is not fair to paper file applications...I'm sure that majority of paper file applicants r more qualified to b in ee than new ee profiles...

Hello people,
I have query if someone can assist.
My friend has filled for per Permanent Residency under PNP May 2016.
She is an inland applicant currently on a 3 year work permit.
Her application has passed it's 16 months processing time early this month.

She has been following up with CIC and they are saying it's awaiting background check to be completed. Her online application is currently showing background as N/A in the system.

What we are not sure is can she travel out of Canada for a holiday until she gets her PR? Or she has to wait for her PR ?
Does this effect her in progress Permanent Residency application in anyway? And she can re-enter Canada on her current Work Permit which is valid till mid of 2018?
She is a citizen of visa exempt country .

Can someone please advise .
