hi everyone. I am in serious need of suggestion/help.
I applied for PR under skilled worker and have received email on 31st august to submit my passport within 30 days.
I am getting married in 2 months from now and want to include my spouse in application because he will be accompanying me.
But of course, i cannot do that now because we aren't married yet.
I also can't send my passport as yet as I am traveling next month for my wedding.
I would rather have them delay my passport submission stage (keep application on hold) until I am married, after which I will submit my partner's documents and have him included in the application.

I have emailed cic regarding this about 2-3 times (webform and cpc ctd email) but their responses are not aligned with my query.

I have also tried to have my friend call their toll free canadian number but nobody answered so far ( she was in queue for an hour before the line got disconnected)

I have only 15 days left to submit my passport. :(
I don't know what to do at this stage.
All comments/suggestions welcomed.

Hey
Just use skype and call CIC call centre yourself. It took me an hour to connect with the representative but its worth it. May be you can get a better solution for your query.

I got you email from your official website.

I submitted my EE profile under FSW-Inland category on March 1st, 2017. I received passport request on October 26,2017.

My marital status got changed in June, 2017, However, I informed CIC via email but unfortunately they have not acknowledged that and its just me receiving PPR.

I called them on the October 26,2017 and on November 1, they have opened a window asking my wife's medical, PCC, all required forms and evidence of relationship documents, I have paid $1040 as well.

Please advise me how long ll it take to receive PPR for my wife from this point? I have submitted all the documents for my wife.

Should I submit my passport first as I have 30 days timeline from October 26th?

Hope you will provide your valuable feedback.

Thank you.

adding Additional family member to the file is causing long delays recently. Dont know the reason. Seen many cases.
Check the forum to see the trend.

Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I just got a notification on MYCIC, they have linked my wife with my application.
It also says " We are processing your background check, ll send you message if more information is required" & "We are reviewing your medical results"
Hope this is a positive sign.
Please advise.

Hello. I’d like to know how did your case proceed after that? I’m in the same boat and want to learn from your experience. Thanks much!

Hi. CIC extended my deadline and added my spouse to the application after my wedding. It was difficult to reach them via email, so calling is the best option.
