Hi everyone,
I've been lurking on this forum for abut 6 months now, have never posted anything, but have gained much knowledge from other members and their threads.
Sally it has come time for me to ask for help on a TRV. My GF and i met in Feb in Bangkok while i was on holiday with my mom and sister.
We tried for a TRV last May and got rejected, mind you it was as very weak application (letter from apllicant, invitation letter from me, letter from her school/employer ( she's a teacher), and application).
Reason for rejection
-travel history
-personal assets and financial status
-insufficient funds
Other- ties to home country that may affect departure of Canada
We decided to try again for this October, spent a couple weeks getting our package ready, but very unfortunately, she was denied again.
Rejection was based on:
- Purpose of visit
-Current employment situation
-personal assets and financial status
These were very fustrating reasons to be reject for as we thought she provided enough documents to support our case.
List of documents included:
-Invitation letter
-letter from applicant
-lettrr from applicant's employer and 2nd employer
-letter from fellow co-worker
-itinerary of her trip (day-by-day)
-Bookings of hotels which coincides with itinerary
-lease agreement of her condo rental
-contract of school loans
And a few items i cannot recall at this time.
Of course as many others we are both fustrated with the process and the emotional toll it takes waiting and waiting and wishing and hoping, but then getting rejected yet again by your own government.
We both know there is no chance to re-apply and get even considered before October, but we may have a chance for her to cube visit me in December, i recall there are notes than can be requested in which describe the rejection in better detail as well? Anyone have more info on this?
Either way, i am lost at this point of what we can do better for next time. If anyone has any input, suggestions, it wasn't too share their own stories, please comment below.
Thank you fur everyone's contributions !
