Ness12, did you order GCMS notes? Have you submitted all docs such as pcc , schedule a, and pictures?

If you answer yes to both questions, you and I are in same boat. I read in other forums that for some of the people who have ordered GCMS the additional doc status has changed to more docs needed. Again I'm not sure of this pattern being the fact but it has happened to people who have possibly submitted everything they are supposed to including me.

I am waiting for an email or a note in GC key login but it has been more than 8 days and no real request. But I have to receive my notes by sep 21. I will create a case enquiry when I hit two weeks.

Did you apply for GCMS notes in the last 20-28 days?

The sponsor is a Canadian citizen but living abroad and the applicant is Belgian. Do you know why they are sending applications to Mississauga instead of Paris? Seems like there aren't that many applications going to Paris but I could be wrong!

We applied in late May for a French spouse, but got streamed to CPC-Mississauga for processing instead of Paris.

What is the citizenship of your applicant? Is the sponsor Canadian PR or citizen?

What did you send with your application? I should have been in the Ottawa but also ended up in cpc-m. Sponsor also a citizen living abroad.

Usually on the applicant's GCKey account. Under background check it should read as follows:

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

It's possible that the day you noticed your GCKey additional docs message appear is the same day your GCMS notes were generated. A bunch of us saw it happen to us. When you receive your notes, look for the generated on date its pretty much top of every page in the pdf file. I bet you it will be the same date as the date of the message for add docs on GCKey account. However, I would still email your VO and let them know you have not received an email regarding the documents they require. Just so you have proof you reached out, in case they DO need something and they missed sending out an email. Good luck!

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

I think that is when the BGC is in progress. Ours says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." I think this means they haven't started BGC. right?

Correct Kinza, meaning the whole application is in progress but the background check hasn't itself started yet.
