Gift Deed for POF - Unanswered Questions

Hello everyone!

Guys I am arranging my documents in regards with Proof of Funds and I am getting a gift from my parents of approximately CAD$ 15000. Now I've been doing some research in regards with the gift deed documents and there are a couple of unanswered questions I have.

I would appreciate any assistance on these points:

1. I found the formats here referred by another user. Is this sufficient or there is a government prescribed one that we need to follow?
2. Are all three documents required? If yes, do all three need to be notarized/certified by any authorities/Canadian consulates?
3. Do I need to show my father's bank account statement as well?
4. Is a bank transfer sufficient for this?
5. What other documents are required?

- No, there is no specific format. I have followed the same format that's in the link you have mentioned.
2. Are all three documents required? If yes, do all three need to be notarized/certified by any authorities/Canadian consulates?
- All the documents are just for making your proof strong. And getting notarized is also optional for the Gift deed. But I did it, and just from a local notary lawyer. And it's not required for the Affidavit and Verification. I just got that signed.
3. Do I need to show my father's bank account statement as well?
- Not necessary
4. Is a bank transfer sufficient for this?
- Yes. And, mention the transaction date in your LOE to make it easier for them when they read the bank statements.
5. What other documents are required?
- The bank balance letter, statements, the above docs like gift deed, affidavit/verification are sufficient. And yes the LOE for all this. I took this amount as a cheque and deposited into my account so, I have also attached a copy of the cheque, just to be safe.
