Same frustration here. More than 21 months with no medical request so far just the AOR. Although I applied under another program as I am a CSQ holder but still with the same shitty visa office.

with me, 25th months is going and no second medical request has been asked. l

last medical which i attached at the time of file submission had already expired april 216 and still no update...

It is hard to tell, for example I'm August 2015 applicant and got medical request on feb 2017 and stills waiting for PPR.
Another friend who is also August 2015 has received his PPR last month, I hope this means they are working on August 2015 applicants

Its different in all the cases. Like for me my background check status never went in progress until I received the PPR. It was only after I got the ppr the status changed to in process in MYCIC.and after I submitted my passport the status changed to Final decision had been made on your application

In my case, "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" for last 3 and half months and still they are under process phase!!!!!!!!!

They have no uniform procedures. a know some cases where BG check not started but when started and completed in one day....so, this is not a hard and fast rule!
