Urgency with student permit

Hello,
I would like to know if there is any possibility of accelerating the student permit process.
I applied late for a master course in Canada got accepted but the application process took a long time. Today I received an email of the university saying they want to defer my admission to September 2018. I asked for the possibility of starting the course in January and saying I would probably be able to arrive there in October. I will call the consulate tomorrow to check if there is something to be done, but I would like to know if some of you experienced a situation like that and ask if there is something I can do.

Some programs are only offered with starting dates in September. So it might be possible to start in January or it may not be.

Note that if you arrive early, you won't be able to start working until you start school full time. So if you arrive in October, it will be January before you'll be allowed to work. Make sure you have enough money to support yourself without working for this additional time in Canada.

There is no way of accelerating the process and no point in calling anyone.
