Hi All,

I am wondering if its possible to go to Canada before landing once you have PPR.

My position is this. Partner will be under surveillance (TB), so will need to check in a number of weeks after checking in. Initially I want to go to scope some places out then come back to the UK, so in theory don't want to land str8 away, is this at all possible?

I'm pretty sure that as soon as you enter Canada once you've received COPR, you have to 'land'. But landing doesn't mean you have to stay. You can land and then return to the UK immediately afterwards, as long as you make arrangements to somehow get your PR Card to yourself in the UK, after it's delivered to your specified Canadian address, so you can get back into Canada afterwards...

Oh, I thought you would go ahead of her "to scope some places out" (I assume you're the primary applicant)...I don't think you have to both land at the same time, just as long as the primary applicant lands first, and you both land before your visas expire (someone correct me if I'm wrong though)...

To be honest, I'm not familiar with how medical surveillance works. I was under the impression they would issue the PR but you'd be under medical surveillance for your first 7 - 30 days once you land...now that you mention it though, I'm actually not sure if PR would be issued before the medical surveillance period ends...

Is anyone familiar with how this all works?

would be good if someone knew the landing process with someone under TB surveillance

After the surveillance period you shall be asked to be present before a Doctor in Canada for Medicals
I don't really understand what you mean. we know that you need tests in Canada if this is the case. But do you land and get PR and then have test? can me and my partner land separately?
