i would suggest using a software like Batch pdf converter- it is fast, and you can choose both quality of compression and size. It is not too expensive, and its a one-time investment ( Disclaimer: I do NOT have anything to do with the company, and I do not have any shares in it).

Yes, hamgha, but given the sensitivity of the documents, why would one want to upload the documents to an unknown online company website, especially when its free, and sow the seed for identity theft later down the line?
The software I was speaking about can be downloaded to your home PC, and they also send a backup CD, in case you need to load it again in the future.. and given the perks, it is not at all expensive.

I suppose its up to an individual, but that's what I did.

i used camscanner like mentioned in an earlier post. the information isn't stored as far as i know (you are right not to be trustworthy though)
