Hi All,

I calculated my points that I could get in my CIC application by the official CIC tool and got 434. However, in myCIC application that I created with the same inputs I was surprised to have only 323 points!!

why this could happen. I doubled check the differences and found them in Education level and Language.

I entered the same levels in both the CIC tool and in my real application

hamgha is right; we won't be able to help you if we don't know more about your details/profile/answers, unfortunately...

How many years of work experience are you claiming as a Computer Programmer, and have you received an ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) for your Master's Degree and your wife's Secondary Education, confirming their Canadian equivalency? Also, can you be more specific with your IELTS results - depending on the skill type, the scores give different CLB levels...

I have 10 years of experience with full time jobs

I have ECA for my Master degree. And I am still in progress for my wife ECA (but I put in the application that it has it with dummy reference) just to see how much I will get

My IELTS

Reading: 9
Listening: 8.5
Writing: 8

My wife IELTS are all 6

I'm calculating a score of 431 for you (if your wife's ECA comes back as confirmed secondary, it's 433) (not sure where the discrepancy between 431/433 and 434 are). The next step is for you to break down what it says in your actual Express Entry Profile for the following areas - this will help us try to figure out where the discrepancy between the CRS tool and your Express Entry profile is occurring, so you can re-check the relevant Express Entry questions:

CRS - Human Capital - Age ??? (this should be 65)
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education ??? (this should be 126)
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency ??? (this should be 128)
CRS - Human Capital - Second Official Language Proficiency ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Spouse - Level of Education ??? (this should be 2)
CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency ??? (this should be 12)
CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education ??? (this should be 50)
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience ??? (this should be 50)
CRS - Additional - French Proficiency or Bilingualism ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Additional - PR or Canadian Sibling ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Skill Transferability - Certificate of Qualification ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Canadian education ??? (this should be 0)
CRS - Provincial/Territorial Nomination ??? (this should be 0)

Still less than the 100+ difference OP found. It's confusing. He definitely did a mistake somwhere when filling the profile

Might anybody help me where the mistake could be? I revised my application 10 times

is it because I used dummy references in the ECA for my wife?

can't know what the mistake is without seeing. if you're uncomfortable sharing then we won't be able to assist further as we can't see where the differences are
