Hello ppl,

My case is pretty common yet tricky. My passport has been sent for PR (FSW) Stamping to Delhi last week and i'm awaiting for the stamped passport anytime next week as per VFS info.
And now my Gfs parents have accepted for our proposal of getting married and they insist to do it at the earliest (Astrologer!!).
I now need a clarity on a few things:
- If I inform CIC after getting married in November about my status change, then
1. What are the documents required for my spouse for her PR (FSW).
2. How long will the process take? Will that affects the overall validity of my visa?
3. Whether the CRS scores of me will be recalculated and checked with that particular successful draw?

- If i land there before marriage and come back without getting PR card (since that will take 60 days) and get married here, then
1. What is PRTD? Where to get that? What are the documents required for that? Where to submit them?
2. Since I will be married after landing should i inform CIC about my status change at the port of entry?

- If i land there, stay for 2 months and get the PR Card, and come back (not accepting for November), then
1. As they say, it will take 18 months to get a Family Sponsorship Visa for her. Meantime whether she can come in a Visitor visa and allowed to work?

Hope you guys understand the query. A bit long, but it might be useful if someone sheds light on these!!

1. Look at the checklist.

2. Generally, a few months. If your medical is close to expiry, you may have to do another one.

3. No.

1. Permanent Resident Travel Document. Look at the application.

2. No.

1. With a PR spouse, her chances of being approved for a TRV are low. You should expect to be apart throughout the sponsorship process, as you are required to live in Canada.
