Hi…I am filling up the questionnaire Post-ITA. I need help with following questions:

1. I know, I should only enter the Address History for last ten years (I’m 36). But, would it be a problem if I input the details from the days my of high school education? Does address history has any co-relation with personal history? I have all the addresses with me.

2. I haven’t mentioned my high school education (10th and 12th) while filling the EE profile as I was advised by a lot of members to include it in Personal History Section Post-ITA. I am not sure whether not including that education will have a negative effect on my application.

Now, if I include that info, I will have to go back all the way to 1992 (25 years) because that was the year my high schooling began. So, effectively I will have to fill all the subsequent gaps too as no gaps in time are allowed (I’m fine with it).

In any case, I’ll have to go back to the year 2002 for filling the personal history as I enrolled for my Bachelors in that year.

3. Should I select Unemployed (looks most appropriate to me) when filling the gaps between education history in Personal Historysection and if yes, then what activity should I mention for that duration…1. N/A 2. Vacation 3. Waiting for further education to commence.

4. My education history and work history are overlapping as I began working for my first full-time Job right after my Ph.D. thesis submission (Have all the required proofs for that). Should I need to include an LOE for that? The position was with the same institute I studied. Will it be an issue?

5. Neither I nor my wife has travelled outside India. So, do I need to fill anything in the Travel History section?

6. Throughout the application, whenever there is a mention of a city…no place holder is there to mention the name of the state or pin code number…So, do I need to mention it?

7. I have selected, have you ever used any other name and I have said yes and mentioned that name in the form. However, in final document checklist, it is mentioned as Legal Name Change Doc. (required)¸ I have got a One and the same person Affidavit, should I upload it there?

8. In the education section, degrees and diplomas are required. What about transcripts, I have transcripts for my Bachelors and Master’s degree (Issued in 2013). Should I include that along with mark sheets and degree certificates?

9. Apart from filling up the questioner, do I need to upload any other specific forms? I have heard people talking about some IMM forms.

I know it’s a long list of question that I have. I request all those with Post-ITA experiences to share their views on this question cause it will be extremely useful for newbies like me and ones who will be facing the same in future….

Thanks a lot in advance

No issue but it is simply not needed.

2. I haven’t mentioned my high school education (10th and 12th) while filling the EE profile as I was advised by a lot of members to include it in Personal History Section Post-ITA. I am not sure whether not including that education will have a negative effect on my application.

Do not include it

Yes and either one of those activities is fine depending on your situation.

4. My education history and work history are overlapping as I began working for my first full-time Job right after my Ph.D. thesis submission (Have all the required proofs for that). Should I need to include an LOE for that? The position was with the same institute I studied. Will it be an issue?4

No proof required.

5. Neither I nor my wife has travelled outside India. So, do I need to fill anything in the Travel History section?

No.

6. Throughout the application, whenever there is a mention of a city…no place holder is there to mention the name of the state or pin code number…So, do I need to mention it?

No but you can add the pin code in the address line

7. I have selected, have you ever used any other name and I have said yes and mentioned that name in the form. However, in final document checklist, it is mentioned as Legal Name Change Doc. (required)¸ I have got a One and the same person Affidavit, should I upload it there?

Can't answer this without knowing the circumstances as to why you chose "other name"

8. In the education section, degrees and diplomas are required. What about transcripts, I have transcripts for my Bachelors and Master’s degree (Issued in 2013). Should I include that along with mark sheets and degree certificates?

Transcripts and mark sheets are not required for foreign studies.

9. Apart from filling up the questioner, do I need to upload any other specific forms? I have heard people talking about some IMM forms.

Schedule A if you answered "yes" to any of the statutory questions.
Schedule 4 if provincial nominee.

I know it’s a long list of question that I have. I request all those with Post-ITA experiences to share their views on this question cause it will be extremely useful for newbies like me and ones who will be facing the same in future….

First of all, please forgive me for reposting the same question several times. I didn't know how to create a thread. Now, I do....

7. My first and second job documents have my name as Amit R. Trivedi while rest of the documents (3rd job, passport, Wes and bank statements) have my name mentioned as Amitkumar Rameshchandra Trivedi...So, I was thinking of submitting a one and the same name affidavit. I'm not sure whether I have selected the right option and in which section should I upload the affidavit.

Thanks a ton for your help

Select "no" and upload the affidavit in the LOE placeholder, provide an explanation.

What about my wife's name as I am not sure what is legal change in the name....but, I have reissued her passport with my name after her name...so, in that case should choose yes, mention her maiden name and upload the affidavit?...

So, you mean to say mentioning one's name differently should not be considered as a legal name change?

Thanks
Correct.

Regarding your wife if you select "yes" there's no need for an affidavit, the marriage certificate will suffice.

Hi..

Status: ITA received

I have few queries regarding the details that I entered in work history.

I am Ph.D. in Chemistry and my first job started as soon as I submitted my Ph.D. thesis and I worked in that job till my Ph.D. viva after which, I was promoted to my second job in the same institution.

Despite having all the necessary documents to prove the authenticity, I am skeptical about CIC considering my first job prior to receiving the Ph.D. degree.

I could have shifted both the first and second jobs from work history to personal history and kept only the third job which is sufficient to get max points (3 years). However, somehow I didn't feel like doing it and have kept all of them. Please let me know have I done the right thing.

Also, I have mentioned that date I got qualified to work in this profession was the date I submitted my Ph.D. thesis cause my first job required to have Ph.D. thesis submission as a minimum requirement. So, Please share your views on this too,

Thanks a lot for your support.

There's nothing of concern here, your work experience is valid and the date you were qualified is also fine.
