PR help

Hey guys.

It's me again. I'm wondering if there is anyone on here that had managed to get PR who doesn't have a degree and if so what type of visa did you go through?

I don't hold a degree and I don't qualify for the PNP programmes (I only have 1 year experience in Canada) and I've been looking for weeks and I can't seem to find any other way of applying gaining PR. Does anyone have any advice or anything? Me and my husband have made an amazing life for ourselves here and the thought of going back to the UK is utterly heartbreaking. I feel like there must be a way for us to get PR but through the stress and 1000's of pages we've sifted through of jargon, we may be missing something?

Note: we're currently in Ontario, we have looked into PNP for other provinces but we either don't have enough work experience or it's because we have a open work permit.

Thanks in advance guys.

You would have a chance if one of you can secure a job offer in a NOC A, B or 0 profession (skilled profession) that's supported by an approved LMIA.

Yes I did see something about this but honestly, I don't quite understand. I have a job that I have been with a year but I don't know what they mean by a job offer exactly and where to find out if the are LMIA. Also when I do the points calculator on CIC it says even with an LMIA job offer I don't have enough points?

It sounds like you need to do more research and reading to understand the program requirements. If remaining in Canada is a priority for you, unfortunately there's no short cut to doing a great deal of research/reading unless you're willing to hire an immigration lawyer to do this work for you. What you have right now doesn't qualify as a job offer. The LMIA is something your employer must obtain - it's a long and expensive process with no guarantee of approval.

If you don't have enough points even with a job offer and have already maxed out your language points - then it sounds like Express Entry isn't an option and you need to research the Provincial Nominee Programs.

Thank you so much for your advice. I think I will have to arrange a meeting with my manager to go through the LMIA options and possibility and see if I can just keep reading until it clicks haha.

This is what I want and returning to the UK is just not an option for me so I am prepared to do what ever it takes to do this.
I really appreciate you taking the time out to answer my questions.
