Should I apply for express entry or a study permit

I hope to get one final good answer for this.. Because I had enough, and I am going to give it a go.

As the question says I am reviewing the two options the express entry and the study permit. Here's the facts:

1- 29 years old.
2- Single.
3- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering.
4- 5 years experience (2 service engineer, and 3 service manager).
6- Syrian nationality.
7- Jordan resident.

A)
I have took the online assessment and I have got 429 points only. I know that until now the lowest candidate invited had 435 points so I don't think I have a chance. And I don't want to waste time.

B)
The second option is to apply for master in engineering in one of the universities. But I am afraid the officer will not be convinced that I will come back after I finish my study which is another problem.

Please help me to decide...

The lowest score so far has been 413...back in April maybe...(can't remember the exact month)...although, yes, at this time 429 is considered to be a bit low for an ITA...but you never know what could happen in coming months...

First off, is there anyway for you to increase your CRS Score? You didn't specify your language test scores - is it that you were just assuming your scores and educational credential because you'd prefer not to spend the money on IELTS/CELPIP (the two approved English language tests) and an ECA (educational credential assessment) before making your decision?

Why are you concerned that the officer will not be convinced that you will go back to Jordan after you complete your studies? What proof of 'ties' to your country can you show for the student visa?

I have a friend who is pursuing the education route, and is going to apply for EE once she's doing her studies, but the drawback was that she had to find more money to show for visa approval (the education route often costs more than the proof of funds requirement for a single applicant under EE, depending on your chosen course of study). The other drawback is that she has no guarantee of getting employment once she completes her course of study (she's not doing a Master's like you are, so her chances are smaller) and might still therefore not be able to apply for EE and have to end up coming back to her home country at the end of it all anyway.

How much time do you have to make the decision? Assuming you have some time, maybe you could put in an EE profile now, and see how things go. You could always withdraw the profile if you decide to go the education route so that it won't count against you in convincing the immigration officer that you'll return home so you can be approved for the student visa... And then you could put an EE profile back in the pool once you start your studies...

Thank you for answering I really appreciate all the good info's.

My test results were speaking 7.0 - listening 8.0 - reading 7.0 - writing 7.0.

I am afraid the officer won't be convinced that I will come back because of the situation in Syria. The only ties I have in Jordan are the family ties.
