Hello Guys I got my PPR request email on 9 th August. I submitted my passport to Pune VFS in india on 29th August.
I am from FSW outland category.
Can anyone please tell me how much time will new delhi take to return my passport???
Please if anybody can help me!

hi, I am a new member here and I wonder if anyone can tell me what is going on with my file..
I got AOR on May 18 2017 and got requested for RCMP on july 30. I have already uploaded RCMP.
Looks like a lot of people have passed their medical checkup at lease but I haven't.. I am afraid it's because of the surgery I had in March 2017..
So I am very worried now....
Here is what I see in my CIC account;
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results : You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents :We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: If we need your biometrics, we will send you a message in your account telling you how to submit biometrics.
Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision; Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I am CEC inland and Please help me to understand what is going on with my account.

Hi everyone, i need someone suggestion please here:

Applied for Express entry- 18 May 2017 ( INLAND)
28 May- ask for repeat medical ( Because of previous history of Tuberculosis)
July-15 Medical passed ( shows on ECAS)
July 15- Background starts in progress.
August- 12 recieve a letter in mailbox to go for Medical surveillence in local clinic


Now, my concern is i got the doctor appointment too late. It is on 27september and my work permit is expiring on 6th october 2017. Do you guys think my PPR will be late because of medical surveillance? Or they already pass my medical its not gonna effect on PPR ?

I dont know if i have to apply for work permit extension now or wait for PPR first ?


Please suggest something. Thank you

I have uploaded the document and when I clicked the " view submitted document ", I saw all the documents I have submitted including this RCMP (
Replacement Provided Uploaded Filename: RCMP Criminal Record Check.pdf )
Did I do something wrong here?
Please help me...

Hi,

I had same situation of being asked for rcmp & even after I submitted, it Still says we need more additional documents . So, I think when they check Rcmp & clears it, then it will change to something else?

I am not sure but just sharing my timeline.

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their continuous support & assistance in this forum. I have been following this forum for a while and it has been really helpful to get help in any subjects regarding Canadian immigration.

I am a CEC inland applicant and my AOR is May 21st. I am in NA2 stage at the moment. I am hoping I will get PPR in mid to late September looking at the current progress in CEC category.

I am planning to go to India for a few months once I get my passport back with PR visa stamp. My medical expires in May 2018 so hopefully PR visa will be valid till May, 2018 as well. I want to travel to few countries in Asia and then come back to Canada. And I am a bit confused in landing procedure and PR card arrival. Please see below two options and advise which one is best:

Option – 1

Once I get PR visa stamp in my passport, I can do the landing procedure at one of many Port of Entries ( Niagara Falls ) and then leave to India in a week or two. I can give my friend’s address for PR card to be mailed to. He is also going to India in Dec so he can bring my PR card with him. I can then come back to Canada. My return date is flexible so I can wait a bit longer till I get PR card in my hand in India. So while returning to Canada, will border officials ask me how come I left the country just after landing and without receiving PR card myself? Will it create any issue? In this case, I can come back any time since I will have PR card in my hand. There will not be any limit or expiry date to enter Canada. Please confirm this if someone can.

Option – 2

Once I get PR visa stamp in my passport, I can fly to India in a week without landing. I can then stay in India and visit few countries for few months and then come back to Canada and finish landing procedure before May, 2018. In this case, will it create any issues if I would have visited few countries in Asia and have those additional visa stamps from those countries?

Option – 3

For some reason, if I don’t get my PR card while I am in India after landing, I can apply for PR Travel document and use it to enter in Canada without PR card. How difficult is the process for applying PRTD? Will border officers ask me any questions?

Option-4

While coming back to Canada, I can then fly to USA and cross the border by rental car using my COPR which is legal as I found in previous threads. In this case, will border officers ask me any questions?

I have received COPR mail on Aug 29.
The mail was in junk mail folder.

But there is no status updated in the application . Still showing "we are processing your background check"

Once you submit the document, you need to transmit the doc by signing it online, then the wording changes
