File transfered to NDVO.. what next?

We filed our eAPR in February 2017 and due to delay in our police cert, it has crossed 6 months since eAPR. We got a reply to our CSE (where PCC was uploaded) saying our issue is 'resolved' and that the file is now at New Delhi Visa office (NDVO). Our myCIC medicals have passed several months ago and BGC has been in IP1 for months too.

Couple of questions:
1. Once it reaches NDVO, will they be updating myCIC?
2. Should we contact them or will they be getting in touch with us?
3. Any clues on what timeline I can expect and what they may do next? One of our passports is approaching 6 months to expiry so need to know if I need to renew it..

They will update only if there is progress or sometimes the account does not show any changes.

2. Should we contact them or will they be getting in touch with us?

I dont think you can contact NDVO but since your application has crossed 6 months you can call cic's number or raise a cse.

3. Any clues on what timeline I can expect and what they may do next? One of our passports is approaching 6 months to expiry so need to know if I need to renew it..

It is difficult to predict timelines as NDVO has been very slow and applicants have been stuck there for a long time.You need to renew your passport as they will not issue you the visa if theres less than 6 months validity. Renew and then raise a cse about it.
