Hey guys,

As we can all see that Cec is not given priority after inital part of may, instead Fsw is given preference.

Let's share our views on this.

Cheers

This is because you are probably here in Canada. You are working, paying taxes so they do not care about you anymore. You can wait.
On the other hand, they try to bring as many people as possible from the other countries (under FSW stream) to show how open they are and how wonderful immigration process is working here in Canada.

That's negative approach & totally different from canadian culture & how here people think.

What seems like is they realized that cec applicants file only take month-2 month after medical but fsw takes more time as they need to verify documents from other countries.
Recently cec may applicants started getting pr.

Hopefully my turn will come soon & they do care about everyone who has filled in.

My AOR is August. If you look at the MYIMMMITRACKER thread for August applications you will find out that the application of the people under FSW stream was already processed and some of them received their PPR within less than one month. Based on analytics conducted in all applications described in MYIMMMITRACKER you can see that Average time to a PPR based on the stream is equal for FSW and CEC.

CEC inland applicants are on work permits and if the work permits are expiring, they are allowed for go for an extension (BOWP). So, they have status already in Canada, and paying taxes and everything is good. I think that is the reason why they are processing CEC inland applications slow .
When I called last month, the first question I was asked was what is your status in Canda.. I said I have BOWP.. then they were like 'Oh okay, then you don't have to worry about your application now, as you already have a status, and the processing times are 6 months, so you have time'.. the tone sounded like that
btw I'm may 4th CEC inland
