I've applied for Tourist Visa with my family, submitted all my original documents to VFS and on the next day I received this email - Mail to the Applicant passport is Outscan from Embassy and you will receive the passport through courier if opt for courier if applicant want to collect through courier or Counter if applicant want to collect from counter. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email.

What does this Email means? is my visa approved?

I've applied on 21 August and the embassy received my application on 22 August and after few hours same day (22 August) I got that email.
and I've applied from Hyderabad, India VFS.

Bryanna i got new update today in my cic account .. they started reveiwing my eligibility.. i havnt recieved any message or email .. i jusr chekd .. i applied online trv from india on 14th of augest.. got application number on 19th augest ..my file is under process at ndvo.. so is u have any idea how long they tk time for checking eligibility and after that is they chk something else.. i mean after in how many days i cn gt result ..

But I'm not able to link my paper applications to CIC because I don't have a surname on my passport and without that I can't link, and also I don't have Application number. Please help!

You'll need to link it exactly as per the details which you filled in your application form

You haven't been given an application number as yet. You can link your paper application with your name, passport, date of birth, etc

I tried to link, but I don't have family name in my passport. And when I try to skip family name cic says me to add the family name.

I applied to renew my TRV some 10 days ago from inside canada. They are now asking for passport. I now have a urgent travel to Pakistan. Is there any chance that I can get my visa stamped from Islamabad rather than from Ottawa? looking forward to your reply.

Yes, you can.

Do email the Islamabad and Abu Dhabi visa offices and ask if you can submit your passport to a VAC in Pakistan

@Bryanna . My TRV was approved after applying from within Canada. Submitted my passport on 5th Sep and received it back on 8th Sep with multiple visa till next year May. It gives me ample time to finalize my PR application.
