Entering Canada Through US Border without PR Card.

Dear Folks,

Few Questions with regards to entering Canada in a Private Vehicle without PR Card.
(This is the example of a person who applied for a PR Card but it never reached the mailbox address
in 3 months; and he had to leave Canada for some Emergency Medical Case for Parents in Native
Country. )

1. Can a Citizen of a Country other than USA, having a Valid US Visit Visa, arrive at the Canadian Border
without a Canadian PR Card in a Private Vehicle?
If Yes,
2. Can he use a Canadian Bank Issued Credit Card, and a SIN Card as Identify Proof to Enter
through the Border, and Will this Satisfy the Border Officer to allow Entry?

The Link below states documents which can be used as Identity proof to Enter Canada, but I am not
sure if they honor or apply the rules as stated in the link below at the border.

Did you lose your Passport? If not, then Passport + COPR document should be sufficient for you to enter Canada from USA border.

Thanks for your reply. No, I haven't lost my Passport. Just doing brainstorming on What If Scenarios to be prepared in case there would be
an issue in receiving my PR Card after the First Landing.

1. Yes.
2. Not sure. Unless you are brain storming for a scenario where you lose your passport in USA , your Passport + COPR should be enough for you to travel from USA to Canada.
